The Library and Information Services of Cyprus University of Technology is pleased to invite you to the second Erasmus Staff Week for Librarians which will be held from the 26th to 30th of June 2017 in Limassol, Cyprus.

The title of the program isLibrary's impact on preserving cultural heritage and research output”.

 

WHO CAN ATTEND

This International Erasmus Staff Week is targeted towards Librarians in all the positions and administrative staff dealing with librarianship. Please note that the main communication language will be English.  

 

WHAT IS IN THE PROGRAM

The goal of the International Erasmus Staff Week is to share international experiences and discuss matters related to the library science as well as to give you the chance to represent your home institutions.

The program will comprise a range of issues related to librarianship in general. With this initiative we wish to introduce the Cyprus University of Technology Library to our partners in order to strengthen international cooperation.

A short Greek Language training course is also included Participants are welcome to give a short presentation (max. 10 mins) about their home university’s library.

COST

The cost of the program is 60 € per person including:

Ø  Registration fee

Ø  Coffee breaks

Ø  Day trip (transportation, lunch)

Payment details will be send to the selected applicants.

 

TRAVELLING TO CYPRUS

The city of Limassol is located between the two airports of Larnaca and Paphos. After arriving, local intercity busses are available to Limassol.

SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAM

In order to enjoy the culture and tradition of Cyprus, a planned visit will take place to a traditional village in the Limassol district, where participants will have the opportunity to explore the sights and wineries of the area.

Furthermore a city tour in the Limassol old town is planned, with an English speaking tour guide. Additionally a Farewell dinner is planned with many surprises.
